The manufacturers of protective clothing, the LHD Group Deutschland GmbH with its internationally renowned “LION” brand has acted as a major sponsor in the Stair Run this year. Managing Director, Daniel von Chamier, reveals why: “LION brand protective clothing has always combined unique wearing comfort with a particularly high level of protection. With our well-known and well proven V-Force® and also the new KINETIC protective suit we are setting new standards within the branch. In the case of the extreme stresses and strains which the firemen are subjected to in this competition the advantages of our clothing are particularly prominent.”
The best 3 pairs in each category could look forward to a very special prize for the winners. Punctually, at the start of the barbecue season, they received a LION barbecue apron made of original material. V-Force® Max wearer, Andrea Posanz, was happy to receive one. Together with her partner, Susann Magnitzke, they were winners in the category “ladies”. The wife of LION specialist, Joachim Posanz, who also took part in the competition in his KINETIC protective suit, has not been active in firefighting sports for long and is therefore even more pleased about her impressive victory.
On the exhibition area right next to the starting tent on Alexanderplatz in Berlin, visitors and participants at the event were able to obtain further information on protective clothing at the LION stand where they could also obtain tips on how to care for the clothing and for the first time were given a preview of the further developments of this year.
Marketing manager, Sarah Mokus, was impressed: “It proved a great pleasure to support the competition and to hold discussions here with the very professional and highly motivated participants. This provides us with additional motivation to do our best day in day out so that our protective clothing continues to be “Ready for Action!” in all situations.
